All applications for burial require a permit or certificate of cremation. Applications that are made between the months of May 1 – October 31 must be made at least 48 hours prior to internment and applications between November 1 – April 30 require 72 hour advance notice.
Monuments or foundations may only be placed on a lot after the application has been submitted to the Town Office and and the required permit in the form of Schedule “D” (see below) has been issued. New monuments are to be constructed of granite and have high resistance to weathering and erosion. Foundations and monuments must be contained within the lot boundary and whenever possible, monuments are to align with those on adjacent lots. A maximum of 2 monuments may be placed upon a single lot. Any second monument is to be flat, with sufficient area to accommodate any future inscriptions.
