Blackfalds' Premiere Sports Park

Located on the south-west corner of Blackfalds, All Star Park is the future site of a skate park plaza and bike skills park, two new soccer, track, and field/football fields! Equipped with 4 fenced baseball/softball diamonds and seating areas for families and friends to cheer on their superstars, All-Star Park is the hub for community gatherings. The park includes a playground, two soccer fields and amenities such as washrooms, showers, concession, picnic areas, fire pits, and camp sites. See camping rates & information.

Located just east of the Protective Services building on South Street, the off-leash dog park offers a paved parking lot, a space for small dogs, a separate large & small dog area, plus an agility training area. Complimentary bags are provided to keep the area clean.

Optimists All Wheels Park & Bike Skills Park

The Optimists All Wheels Park officially opened on June 2, 2017. Located on the Northeast corner of All-Star Park (4503 Womacks Road), the Optimists All Wheels Park features snakerun/flow bowl with escalating pockets, drop-in turnaround bank with roll-in and transition extension, and much more. Special thanks to the Optimist Club of Blackfalds, whose members raised $250K of the project cost.

Construction on the new Bike Skills Park will be underway this summer with a target completion date of early Fall 2017. 

Tayles Water Spray Park

Family fun is only a splash away!

A great place to cool off on those hot summer days, Tayles Park is open from May 26 - Sept. Labour Day weekend from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and has a variety of spray features. Located next to the Civic Centre pirate ship playground, the park also features a gazebo, washrooms, picnic areas, and tables.

Light Up Blackfalds at the Park

Every November, Town staff transform the park into a musical light show for the annual "Light Up Blackfalds" event.
Catch the light show display immediately following the event until the first week of January. The light show schedule is Sunday to Thursday from 5 pm until dawn; music show 6:00-8:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday at 5 pm until dawn; music show, 6:00-9:00 pm.

  • Centennial Park & Ice Skating Pond Panorama Dr. Map

The trail runs around the pond, and includes a tree house themed playground, soccer field, and outdoor basketball court. You can choose to walk, bike or drive and park in the nearby parking lot.

  • Civic Centre Pirate Playground 5018 Waghorn St (Corner of Gregg St) Map

New to our line-up of parks is our pirate themed playground adjacent to the Town office and Tayles water & spray park. Convenient parking along Gregg Street makes it the perfect spot to cool off on those hot summer days and has a magnificent Christmas lights display from November to beginning of January.

  • Cottonwood Meadows Park & Playground Camille St & Prairie Ridge Ave. Map

This climbing playground has nearby parking and is close to the K-6 public school that will be completed in the Fall of 2016.

  • Harvest Meadows Park 24 Willow Rd Map

This playground can be accessed via the Trans Canada Trail, and comprises of a large open green space and parking lot.

  • McKay Ranch Playground Eastpointe Dr Map

This western style ranch themed playground includes a large open green space and parking lot and is poised for further development.

  • Mickey Lang Park & Community Centre Playground 4810 Womacks Rd Map

Just behind the community centre, this park and playground has benches, swings, and climbing structure plus large open green space. Adjacent to the hall are tennis courts that were recently resurfaced and you can enjoy tobogganing hill during the winter.

  • Dinosaur Playground 4500 Womacks Rd Map

Just east of the parking lot of the Abbey Centre, kids can climb, slide and explore in this one of a kind playground while adults can work out at the outdoor fitness stations. Running alongside the park is the Trans Canada Trail (TCT) that leads right to the indoor portion of the TCT and the second floor of the Abbey Centre.

This playground can be accessed via the trail system, has a large open green space and is the future site of a community garden. Plenty of parking as well as a winter snow bank rink are available.

  • Rolling Hills Park  5180 Lansdowne Ave Map

This tot lot playground and park includes basketball hoops, swings, picnic tables, and large open green space.

  • Valley Ridge Park & Ball Diamond Westbrook Rd Map

 With access to the Trans Canada Trail which links to the Abbey Centre, this park features a baseball diamond and parking.
