Abbey Centre

Closure Information for Abbey Members and Guests

In following the Province Relaunch strategy,
the Abbey Centre - deemed a recreational facility - remains closed.

We are planning for the best case scenario to open as soon as the Province of Alberta launches stage 3 of their relaunch strategy.

Please visit the COVID-19 webpage for more information.

We respectfully ask that you keep our phone lines open so that we can make the necessary calls to notify our guests.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience during this time.

Centrally located between Calgary and Edmonton and just minutes away from Red Deer, Sylvan Lake and Lacombe, the Abbey Centre offers fitness and fun for all ages with over 41,000 sq. ft. of indoor recreational opportunities.

Explore the tunnels and slides in the 3-story indoor playground, or treat yourself to a quick bite at the concession after you work out in the state-of-the-art fitness centre while your kids are cared for by child minding.

Get away from the elements and take advantage of the 152 metre running track on the 3rd level, overlooking the activities in the triple gymnasium field house. Avid runners, walkers & cyclists will appreciate that the Abbey Centre is the only place in Canada where the Trans Canada Trail travels indoors (entrance on 2nd level).

In the summer months, cool off and have fun in the sun at the outdoor aquatic centre, plan a picnic in the park, let the little ones discover the dinosaurs in the playground, or take in the entertainment at the outdoor amphitheatre.

See you at the Abbey, where family, friends & fitness are found!

Recycle 4 Reward

In an effort to keep guest wristbands from going in the trash or littering the streets, our R4R program encourages guests and members to write their name and phone number on the back of their wristband and drop it in the red drop box on their way out of the Abbey for a chance to win a $75 prize.

March R4R Winner

Congratulations to Liz L. who is the winner of March's R4R of a $75 gift card sponsored by the Blackfalds Chiropractic Centre. Thank you for recycling!

The Recycle 4 Reward program will resume again once the Abbey Centre re-opens.
