Utility Bills during Possible Canada Post Job Action and e-Billing Contest
In preparation for potential job action from Canada Post beginning July, the Town of Blackfalds will be distributing utility bills earlier than normal to ensure residents receive their bills in a timely matter.
In the event of job action, utility bills will need to be paid either in person at the Town Office (5018 Waghorn St) Monday-Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm, or online through electronic banking. Payments for utility bills will still be due on the date noted on the invoice.
To promote the newly introduced e-billing system and in a continued effort to go green – the Town is introducing a contest offering a $100 utility credit in a random draw of residents who switch, or have already switched to e-billing prior to July 28, 2016. The draw will be held on August 5 and the credit will be applied to the winner’s account on August 15.
Residents that do not receive their utility bill in the mail can contact firstname.lastname@example.org for their current balance and more information.
For more information on utilities and to sign up for e-billing for a chance to win the $100 utility credit, please visit www.blackfalds.com/utilities. Updates will be sent out through the Town’s official channels including the website, Facebook and Twitter throughout the month of July.
