Town of Blackfalds 2017 Audited Financial Statements
The draft 2017 audited financial statements for the Town of Blackfalds were presented to Council for consideration and approval by Grant Stange, Partner of Collins Barrow Chartered Professional Accountants.
The municipal finances continue to be strong and the Town is in an excellent financial position. Operations did an excellent job staying within budget this year and there were no unexpected expenditures.
Stange indicated that the audit went well and that no major errors or omissions were identified and they issued a clear audit opinion. Activity within the Town is consistent with prior years and a small surplus of approximately $140,000.00 was identified.
Director of Corporate Services Betty Quinlan thanked the auditors for their hard work and dedication.
