Safely Getting Back to School
In order to alleviate traffic issues with the beginning of the school year, Wolf Creek Public Schools and the Town of Blackfalds will be introducing traffic changes effective September 1.
At Iron Ridge Elementary Campus (4710 Broadway Avenue - pictured), school busses will be parking along Broadway Avenue, with parent/guardian drop-off/pickup locations along Minto Street and the nearby alley. The yellow area of Broadway Avenue will be restricted to bus only parking Monday to Friday from 7am to 5pm.
Parents/guardians and students alike are reminded to only cross roads at marked crosswalks, and to always look both ways before crossing.
For those parents/guardians bringing their children to Iron Ridge Intermediate Campus (101 Cottonwood Drive) this school year, please refer to the map on Facebook indicating where parking is available for drop off/pickup.
There is both parking along Cottonwood Drive (both sides of the street) and a parking lot on the school grounds. Buses will be looping as indicated on the map while the Catholic school is under construction.
Let's stay safe and have a great start to the school year!
