Public Notice | McKay Ridge Area Structure Plan and Land Use Bylaw Amendment

Council of the Town of Blackfalds has given first reading to By-law No. 1243/20 and 1244/20, the purpose of amending the McKay Ridge Area Structure Plan and Land Use Bylaw #1198/16.   The map below shows the lots located in McKay Ranch at the east edge of Eastpointe Drive being changed from R-1S (Residential Small Lot District) to R-2 (Residential Multi Dwelling District); C-3 Commercial Local District to R-5 (Residential High Density) and R-3 (Residential Medium Density District to R-5 (Residential High Density District).

The Town Council will hold two Public Hearings in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Office, 5018 Waghorn Street, Blackfalds, on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 commencing at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of receiving comments from any interested parties on the proposed Bylaw amendments.

Due to the COVID-19 situation no public will be allowed at the Public Hearings but those wishing to make a presentation will be given the opportunity to do so by sending any comments in by e-mail to terry@blackfalds.com . Such comments must be received by the Town no later than 3:00 p.m. on the day of the Hearings. Alternatively, you may call in during the Public Hearing to voice your support or non-support @ 403-885-9679 Option 2.
