Become a Snow Angel

We had a small glimpse of Fall but it seems that winter has arrived! Winter is the best time to start thinking about helping those in need.

Blackfalds FCSS is currently recruiting for volunteers to support our seniors this winter season with their snow shoveling.

The Snow Angel Program is a volunteer service by people who are able to commit to remove snow from a Blackfalds resident’s driveway and/or walkway who may be impeded or incapable to do so throughout the winter season.

“Adopting” a drive/walkway is a fun and healthy way for all ages to enjoy the outdoors while contributing to improving the quality of life of someone in need.

National Volunteer Week

Mark your calendars! National Volunteer Week 2019 is April 7-13, 2019.

In past years, we traditionally celebrated our youth and adult volunteers on a weeknight during National Volunteer Week. Due to its popularity and record attendance we will be hosting two events in 2019 and future years going forward; one function for our amazing youth volunteers and another event for the incredible adult volunteers in our community. The 2019 Volunteer Appreciation Event for our adult volunteers will be held on April 11, 2019 during National Volunteer Week and the Youth Recognition Night will take place on May 2, 2019 during the annual National Youth Week.
