Living Here

Welcome to Blackfalds!

The Town of Blackfalds is a great place to live and is one of Canada's fastest growing communities - with 10,125 residents as of 2018 (See Census 2018).

People make Blackfalds home because of its opportunities and quality of life, while maintaining a rural-feeling lifestyle, recreational amenities, affordable housing, and its ideal location central to major centres, as attracting features.

Great things are happening in Blackfalds; community members are benefitting from new high quality services, including improved waste management and snow removal programs, a regional public transit system, park and trail development,
fibre-optic telecommunication, and the Abbey Centre - a centerpiece for community gathering, recreation and leisure activities.

Advances to transportation and education such as Hwy 2A upgrades and two new schools contribute to the bright future for Blackfalds.
