My name is Melodie Stol and I am the Mayor of Blackfalds. My husband Dan and I have two children and we have been proud to call Blackfalds our home since 1991. I hope that you have a sense of pride in our community and I invite you to become involved. The Town of Blackfalds is always seeking volunteers who are willing to serve on our various town boards such as Recreation, Library, Economic Development and Family and Community Support Service. These boards select priorities for how your tax dollars are spent. For information on these boards please contact the town at 885-4677. There are also many service organizations in Blackfalds that always need members as well. Groups such as The Optimist Club and The Blackfalds and District Agricultural Society raise funds for projects and host special events throughout the year. Our volunteer Fire Department also seeks new members regularly. Contact information for these groups as well as sports teams, churches and Neighborhood Place can be found in the bi-annual program guide.
