The Planning and Development Department consists of a Planning and Development Manager, a Planning and Development Officer and a Planning Services Clerk.

This team is responsible for all aspects of planning and development on lands within the Town’s boundaries including permit approvals and issuance, letters of compliance, subdivision review, re-designation of land, annexation, etc. Documents such as the Land Use Bylaw, Municipal Development Plan and Area Structure Plans are also under the jurisdiction of this department.

 

This team also works closely with IJD Inspection Services for building, plumbing, gas and electrical permitting and inspections.
