NEW LICENSE BYLAW 1109/10
Council of the Town of Blackfalds has passed the Third and Final reading of Bylaw #1109/10, which is the new Licensing Bylaw for the Town. The Bylaw incorporates more definitions and provisions relating to certain businesses operating within the Town limits. A new business license fee is also proposed which includes an Economic Development Initiative (EDI) which is a charge on every license to assist with specific projects that would be deemed to enhance the Economic Development of the Town of Blackfalds. Some examples of the initiatives may be assistance to the Town Beautification Program, Downtown Redevelopment Plan, Christmas Light Program, etc. Any comments or questions may be directed to Terry Topolnitsky, Planning & Development Manager @ terry@blackfalds.com or 403-885-6237.
