The Community Centre is located at 4810 Womacks Road. The facility has a main hall size of 80ft. x 48ft. with a seating capacity of 250. There is a spacious kitchen area with plenty of counter space,
2 fridges, 2 stoves, 1 glass door cooler and a dishwasher. The designated bar area also contains a glass door cooler and small storage area. There is plenty of parking space available for all types of
events. The facility is located next to a playground and large park area.
Rental rates (call for current rates) are based on a maximum time slot of 8:00am the day of the event to 2:00am of the following morning. For events that need to decorate / set-up the night before a Decorating /
Set-up fee is available. All rentals include use of the hall and stage area, tables and chairs, kitchen area / appliances and washroom facilities. Additional services that are available include kitchen accessories (
plates, cups, etc.), table cloths, napkins, pop canisters, CO2 hook-up, pop and liquor dispensers
Blackfalds Multi-Plex
The Multi-Plex is a multi purpose facility with a little something for everyone. Book the Banquet Room for your social functions, public meetings, or special event with a seating capacity of 125, full service kitchen and large
bar area. The Ag Society Meeting Room is available for all your meeting needs and seats 20. The Arena floor area is home to the Blackfalds Farmer's Market all summer beginning the 2nd Monday of June thru until the 3rd Monday of
September. Throughout the winter season the ice is a busy area with all sorts of youth and adult skating activities and numerous tournaments. The Arena has spectator seating for 500+ making it the ideal venue for every kind of
function from Bull Riding to Provincial Hockey Tournaments.
All Star Park
All-Star Park is located in the southwest corner of Blackfalds. It consists of 4 quality ball diamonds that can be used for baseball, slo-pitch or fastball. Diamond #4 does have a pitching mound on it for baseball. The facility
also has 2 soccer fields, a concession stand, playground, camping area, washrooms and shower facilities. A fenced and partially sheltered area exists for hosting a picnic area, beer gardens or tournament office.
Parks & Trails
As Blackfalds is such a rapidly growing community with so many children and youth there are a variety of parks and playgrounds for recreational use. New in 2004, Tayles Park is located on Gregg Street beside the Fire Hall. The Tot Lot
is located on the corner of Aspen Drive and is geared towards tots, with lots of structures specific to the little ones. Centennial Park, located just off Panorama Drive in the newly developed Panorama Estates, is a park with the modern family in mind.
Planning is in place for soccer fields, natural areas, and a playground making this a beautiful area for tossing a ball around with the kids, relaxing over a picnic, or taking the dog for a leisurely stroll. In a similar style as the rapid growth in Blackfalds
there are walking trails continually being expanded to wrap the Town with beautiful paths to bike, walk, jog or stroll on. The Skateboard Park is set for construction in 2005 and is being built in "street skateboard style". Slated for construction in 2006 is the
Water spray park, an interactive spray park with activity centers for youth aged 2-12.
