Development Permits

Development Permits are required to ensure that all development is achieved in an orderly manner and in accordance with the Land Use Bylaw, the Municipal Government Act and the Subdivision and Development Regulations.

A Development Permit is required for:

• All new or moved-in permanent structures
• Accessory Buildings larger than 108 square feet and/or taller than 8.2 feet
• When changing the use of a building
• Home Business Minors (also require a Business License)
• Home Business Majors (also require a Business License)
• Decks (ONLY if it requires a relaxation, otherwise the only require a Building Permit)
