Building Permits
A Building Permit is required for all construction, including that which does not change the footprint of the building. Examples include internal development where walls are constructed and decks. A building permit is also required for the installation of a woodstove to ensure that it complies with the Safety Codes Act.
A Building Permit is required for: 
- All new or moved-in permanent structures
- Internal development
- Installation of a woodstove
- Permanent Accessory Buildings over 108 square feet and/or taller than 8.2 feet
- Decks
