Any resident who owns a cat or dog, three months of age or older is required to license their animal. Once the animal is registered with the Town of Blackfalds office, a metal license tag will be issued. Anyone who fails to license and register their animal before January 31 of the year is subject to a fine. If you are a resident of the Town for more than 30 days in the year you are required to have a current license for your animal.
